Subject: Reminder - con call tomorrow
Hi everyone. This is a gentle reminder of the PKIA-TC conference call tomorrow. We've had some disappointing turnouts lately, so I'm hoping we can re-group. We need to move on to identify white paper topics. As discussed previously, we should be targeting areas that have inhibited PKI take-up in the past, confused potential adopters, added to their costs and so on. I have a particular interest in complexity, mostly legal, also policy & operations. People seem to still perceive PKI as 'too hard'. I think people make too much of a big deal of interoperability and also liability. My sense of the problem is that the market desperately needs de-mystification, clarification, and fresh simplifying principles. I wonder if attendees tomorrow could come prepared to relate their own experiences in what inhibits take-up? We might be able to identify a few topic areas for initial drafting. Also ... the regular call for case studies please!!! Finally, we will also need to set a time for the December call, if we decide it's worth having, since the automatically assigned time falls on Boxing Day, the day after xmas. Hope to talk to you all tomorrow.
