Subject: FW: Notes - RD Workshop - DNV (London)

Andy, (apologies for the cross-posting)

I found the notes both interesting and informative, thank you - good job!

You are right that there are issues raised which might be best dealt with during a TOG, not least..
I am glad that these issues have finally surfaced and I think the TOG is the best place to deal with them, but they need to be pushed aggressively (with views) to resolution. I propose that the items above be put on the agenda for the next TOG meeting.

(With the possibility of test rallies, I think the 1st item above will become a hot issue - and may impact both performance and redundancy).

I also note that there are decisions documented which might be best added to the Dexlib help (modellers) section. This should be an action for Mats (e.g.

IMHO Mats needs to be given sight of all minutes like this to pick out this stuff & to distribute additions to the exploder, as it becomes available?

There was also ..

Andy, I presume that you will need to wait a week in case of corrections, but could I ask you to then upload the minutes onto the Oasis document repository.

kind regards,

Tim

(Mats, sorry if I am creating more work...)

Subject: Notes - RD Workshop - DNV (London)

All,

Please find attached the notes from the Reference Data Workshop held at DNV (London).

Those that attended will know how difficult it would be to document the discussions. Some of the actions were general and some directed at individuals.

In terms of the way ahead, at this time I have suspended the workshop activity, in the hope that the TOG could discuss a better approach to the problem of the management of the reference data development. My personal view is that we should maximise the use of webex to discuss straightforward DEX and RD review work but face-to-face meetings (like the synchronisation workshops of 2004) would be useful to discuss in depth issues.
