For data exchange and data integration ISO 10303-239, Product Life Cycle Support, PLCS, is applied and corresponding DEXs, translators, and integration tools have been developed. The SIMBASE "Simulation-based acquisition server" project involves tri-national collaboration between the ministries of defence for Italy (IT), Norway (NO) and the United Kingdom (UK). From each nation, a single industrial partner is also participating in the project: Datamat, IT; Jotne EPM Technology, NO; and LSC Group, UK. The project lasts from May 2004 to May 2007.
