We are informally 'partnered' with several organizations already.

Hi Michael Willett,

I realize you, like most members, are active in multiple standards bodies,
associations, and trade groups. Many of these organizations are engaged in
excellent work related to requirements gathering, standards development,
advocacy, adoption, certification, lobbying, marketing, and/or research.

OASIS is introducing a new program that will enable us to collaborate with
groups like these in a productive, mutually beneficial way.

Here's how it works: OASIS and a partner consortium form a Technical
Committee to develop a co-branded standard. Work is done under the OASIS
Technical Process and IPR Policy. As with all OASIS TCs, technical decisions
are made by Committee members, and OASIS staff handles public archiving,
balloting, public reviews, and (optionally) subsequent ANS status or de jure
standards body submission. Participants in the TC hold OASIS membership;
others will be able to track and comment on the work via our public input
mechanisms. OASIS and the partner consortium collaborate on press
announcements, interop demos, webinars, and other promotional activities.

The program is designed to be win-win-win. You leverage your participation
in both organizations. Partner consortia get a streamlined path to
delivering an internationally recognized standard. OASIS benefits from new
work that's well informed and destined for wide adoption.

Please let me know if you're working with any organizations that might be
good candidates for partnering with OASIS. These may include groups in
specific industry domains (health care, financial services, energy, etc.) or
in technology spaces (wireless, IoT, M2M, Cloud, etc.). I'd appreciate your
input, and of course any discussion can start as casually and confidentially
as you need.
