Subject: Next steps for the discussion list and the PACR TC
Hi all, Discussion on the list is going quite well. This is a quick note to give you all a sense of what happens next. The objectives for the discussion are to (a) determine whether there is enough interest in the proposal to support starting a new Technical Committee, (b) gather a sufficient group of co-proposers committed to it and (c ) draft a charter that you can use to launch the Technical Committee. It appears from the discussion that there is a need here and that a TC addressing such needs could produce standards with real value. It also looks like you are making substantial headway on a charter. The outstanding question is proposers. OASIS rules require a minimum of 5 co-proposers with representation from at least 2 OASIS Organizational Members to start a TC. This list can remain active through 04 September but you don't have to wait until then to start the TC. If 5 or more of you are ready to step forward as co-proposers now, we can get to work on starting the TC right away. If you are interested in participating and co-proposing the Public Administration Cloud Requirements (PACR) TC, I encourage you to raise your hand now and join John in initiating the Technical Committee.
