Press Release to Announce CGM Open MS and WebCGM TC

--PLEASE NOTE QUOTE DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, 30 JULY--

OASIS Members:

The Consortium is in the process of drafting a press release to announce the
formation of the OASIS CGM Open Member Section and the OASIS CGM Open WebCGM
TC. We have targeted Monday, 2 August 2004, for distribution.

While OASIS deeply appreciates the contributions of all members to our
technical work, we have a policy to list only Sponsor member companies in
announcements directed to the press. The higher Sponsor member dues
underwrite the cost of promotional activities such as press releases.

The OASIS CGM Open WebCGM press release, therefore, will include the
following statement:

"Members of the OASIS CGM Open Member Section include representatives of
Airbus, Arbortext, Auto-trol Technology, The Boeing Company, US National
Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), <INSERT SPONSORS> and others."

If your organization's name is listed above and you would prefer *not* to be
mentioned in the press release, please let me know.

Sponsor-level members that would like to send a quote on behalf of their
organization in support of the OASIS CGM Open WebCGM TC may email that to
me. Please include a name and title at your company to whom the quote can be
attributed. A representative of your organization must join the TC prior to
the release date. 

If your organization is not a Sponsor member, and you would like to be
featured as a major participant in the OASIS CGM Open WebCGM TC, please
contact Scott McGrath (scott.mcgrath@oasis-open.org) for information on
upgrading your membership to take advantage of this promotional benefit.

US EST, COB Friday, 30 July.**
