Title: New Functional Points Mapping Document and Core Components Spec Index

Hi All,

Just a few items in advance of our call tomorrow:

(1) The attached document is an updated Functional Points Document for the following sections of the new CC Spec v8.0:

• Discovery
• Submission
• Metadata

(2) A few weeks ago I had proposed creating separate "Requirements" documents that cross-reference to the Functional Points Mapping document - upon further reflection, I decided that that approach was too complex.  Therefore, I've made the following format updates in the attached document:

• Moved "Category" column to right
• Renamed "Notes" column to "Requirements"
• Added section markers (such as the one you see at the top entitied "Business Processes, Business Information Entities, and Core Components") for better readability

I also began populating the "Requirements" column for the first section (Discover/Submission), by simply deriving requirements from the Functional Points.  I'ved used "NOTE:" to indicate places where there is a question on the Functional Point.

(3) Rather than summarize the updates for the new CC Spec, I thought it would make more sense point us to the attached Functional Points document - all updates are reflected in that document.

(4) Below is a revised page index for the CC Spec v.8.  I'll send out an agenda for our call tomorrow AM.  I look forward to discussing the attached Functional Points document and more.
