Subject: RE: [regrep-cc-review] Next Call: Wednesday, 6/12/02

Title: Next Call: Wednesday, 6/12/02
Joe will not be able to make our Wednesday telecon, but asked me to direct the meeting in his absence.  Attached is a zip file of the "library" of documents.  Below is the description of updates Joe provided for us:

The current "library" of documents that we have created is contained in
the attached zip file.  We have 3 different "types" of documents:

(1) Document summaries (i.e. summaries of existing document)
(2) Snapshot of current discussions
(3) Mapping of functionality from CC spec to registry

For (1), we have:

- Core Components Summary v1.69a.doc - summary of this version of CC
spec
- CC spec "Figure" summaries:
        - Figure 7-1 CC Spec.doc
        - Figure 7-3 CC Spec.doc
- CC Spec Metadata Summary v0.2.doc - a summary of representation of
metadata in registry

For (2), we have:

- CC Review Discussion Topics v0.3.doc

For (3), we have:

- CC Spec-Registry Functional Points v0.6.doc

I've made updates to several of the documents since our last call
(updated versions are included in zip):

CC Spec Metadata Summary v0.2.doc:

(1) Added "Represented As" column - to differentiate between Registered
Objects (ex: CC) and Classifications (ex: Datatypes)
(2) Added "placeholder" entries for (a) Business Process and
(b)MIGs/Schemas, as we will need to associate all of these with BIE's
(see p.19 CC spec v.1.8)
(3) Added cardinality for [A]ssociations - ex: 1..M - updated
cardinality for [M]etadata to use this technique as well
(4) Added additional items from Figure 7-3:  BBIE, etc.

CC Spec-Registry Functional Points v0.6.doc:

(1) Added several Functional Points that were not included in previous
version:

FP19 (involving update of Core Component)
FP20 (involving submission of new Core Component)
FP24 (involving update of Core Component)

(2) Populated some additional entries in the "Assumptions" column

CC Review Discussion Topics v0.3.doc:

(1) Updated to reflect discussions in 5/13/02 call (marked as such)
(2) Renamed "Storage" topic to "Representation/Storage/Submission",
because all three of these really need to be represented in this
document
(3) Added info on submission from CC spec - (see "Submission" heading
under "Discussions" column for the "Representation/Storage/Submission"
topic)
(4) Added "Updates" topic - anticipate that we will need to cover this
(5) Added "Validations" topic - anticipate that we will need to cover
this

Talk to you all on Wednesday!

Kathryn

Hi All,

Here are the details for our Wednesday call:

CALL DATE: JUN-12-2002 (Wednesday)
CALL TIME: 02:30 PM EASTERN TIME
DURATION: 1 hr 30 min
USA Toll Free Number: 800-779-6816
PASSCODE: 55456

Now that the UN/CEFACT CC spec is in review, I thought this might be a good time for us to take a step back and assess where we are at (to sort of take a collective breath).  This is agenda item #4 below.  By "document library" I am referring to the set of documents that we have created to date (Functional Points Mapping document, various document summaries, etc.). I will send an e-mail Monday with a current version of each of these documents, with any necessary updates from our last call incorporated.

Here is our agenda:

1.  Minutes taker for this call

2.  News from the eBTWG front (including status of CC spec questions from our last call)

3.  Report from recent X12/UBL meeting (Lisa, can you give us a report?)

4.  Where we are at - discuss our "document library", future timelines, etc.

5.  Discuss "CC Metadata Summary" document (last discussion involved "metadata attribute vs. classification")

6.  Review "Discussion Topics" document (any updates required based on our discussions?)

7.  Other business

8.  Next call

Looking forward to talking with you all then!

Thanks,
Joe
