Subject: Core Components and Internationalization
Last week, Diego brought up the issue of internationalization in regards to CC/BIE's. The CCTS spec states that "The official language for UN/CEFACT Core Components is English.", but "Core Component discovery work may very well occur in other languages; however official submissions for inclusion in the UN/CEFACT library must be in English." I would like to recommend that we ensure that we accomodate Internationalization in all of the work that we do here. This means that when we map from CCTS to the RIM, we ensure that whatever attributes we map to are I118N-capable - and if they are not, we consider proposing that they are I118N-capable. Thoughts?
