Subject: Re: [regrep-semantic] Groups - New Action Item #0000 Issue: Do we need to choose Ontology representation
To restate the issue with (perhaps) easier questions. Does the ebXML Registry need to support all flavors of the OWL ontology ? Does the ebXML Registry need to explicitly (via technical notes ?) support all 'Institutionally supported Ontologies' e.g. DCML, OWL If the ebXML Registry supported 'All Ontologies that can be modeled using RDF/S ' would that address all the known 'Use Cases' ? carl <quote who="Farrukh.najmi@sun.com"> > Number: #0000 > Description: Issue: Do we need to choose Ontology representation > Owner: Farrukh Najmi (Farrukh.najmi@sun.com) > > > Comments: > Farrukh Najmi 2004-02-24 13:35 GMT > Should ebXML Registry define a specific ontology representation format > (e.g. OWL) or should it define a more abstract model that allows for > multiple Ontology formats to be supported. > > View Details: > http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/regrep-semantic/members/action_item.php?action_item_id=423 > -- Carl Mattocks co-Chair OASIS ebXMLRegistry Semantic Content SC CEO CHECKMi v/f (usa) 908 322 8715 www.CHECKMi.com Semantically Smart Compendiums (AOL) IM CarlCHECKMi
