I couldn't make the presentation either, because of clashes, but Bernard's company Mondeca is definitely a European market leader in this area. They have done a lot of work in the last couple of years, and were present and active at the recent W3C Semantic Web Interest Group meeting in Cannes, France[1].

Mondeca have done some work with us in the European Parliament, and they have steered a steady course through support for Topic Maps, RDF and OWL.

Definitely worth following up: you could write directly to Bernard at bernard.vatant@mondeca.com
