Subject: Re: [regrep] RE: Latest version of normative specs and files included

A relational schema defines a model that is the basis for a query syntax. One
can design a system that can use any query syntax
without mandating that the implementation use that technology. One can write an
SQL query processor on top of an OODB or an XML DB. The SQL queries would in
those cases need to be mapped to the underlying query syntax supported by the
persistence layer (SQL3, OQL, XML-QL, XPATH whatever). It is a goal of the ebXML
Registry RI to demonstrate this fact.
