It is. A1 and A2 might be "equal", but they have different "identity".

Lines 565-572 and section in 7.4.4 in RIM v2.1 (http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/regrep/documents/2.1/specs/ebrim_v2.1.pdf) and sections 7.3.1 and 7.3.2 in RS v2.1 (http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/regrep/documents/2.1/specs/ebrs.pdf) talk about object "identity" that is common to RegistryObject and all subclasses of it (Association being one of them).
