Subject: RE: [regrep] Format for our documents (PDF)

Well, regardless of whether you use OO or MSW or PPT etc., if you convert
the document to PDF, then ANY user will be able to view it on ANY platform
using the FREE Adobe Reader 6.0.

:-)

cheers

Unfortunately, not everyone can open OpenOffice. For example, when I click
on the .sxi links, I get garbage, but the .ppt opens fine.

Actually, I have always used Open Office for any slides I have created
for our work. To maximize access I often create a PPT format copy along
with the SXI source. See for example:

http://ebxmlrr.sourceforge.net/presentations/ebxmlrr-xmlEurope2003.sxi
http://ebxmlrr.sourceforge.net/presentations/ebxmlrr-xmlEurope2003.ppt

http://ebxmlrr.sourceforge.net/presentations/ebxmlrr-egov.sxi
http://ebxmlrr.sourceforge.net/presentations/ebxmlrr-egov.ppt

http://ebxmlrr.sourceforge.net/presentations/ebXMLRegistryV3OverviewIncludes
V2.sxi

I find Open Office a real joy to work with. And did I mentions that it
is cross-platform? You can open the same web URLs above from any
platform using Open Office and expect it to work the same.

In summary, Open Office is better and royalty free! How can anyone lose.
