Hi Farrukh,

Adobe would be interested in participating to show how PDF/XML documents
could also be used as part of the scenario.

For example, the proposal states that the DCC would update their information
in the registry which consists of web pages and open office documents.

In the situation you describe, however, it is likely that the DCC would need
to collect information from hospitals about cases they have observed. One of
the best ways to collect that data would be through a PDF/XML form that
could be stored in the repository and downloaded by a hospital when
necessary. The forms can then be filled off-line anywhere. The data can be
collected in the form directly in XML format which can be exported for use
in DCC enterprise systems.

Just wanted to throw that out there as a possiblity you might want to
consider. I'd be happy to elaborate on the possible use cases and advantages
of using PDF/XML forms in this type of situation.

Attached is a draft proposal for a demo involving ebXML Registry at XML
2003. The demo also involves several other OASIS specs. This proposal is
the output of a collaboration effort between myself, Seth Proctor and
Anne Anne Anderson.

Since I see OASIS demo on our TC meeting agenda for tomorrow, I would
like to ask if you could review this short (2 page) proposal and be
prepared to discuss in tomorrow's TC meeting.

Please also let me know if you and your company are interested in
participating in the proposed demo in any capacity. Thanks.

PS: Anne, Seth and I will be forwarding this proposal to additional
OASIS TCs whose specifications are used within the demo.
