Hopefully you can condense it for the brochure. A client of the registry may subscribe to events of interest within the registry. When the event occurs the registry notifies all subscribers interested in that event. A subscription is defined using an SQL or XML filter query. Such queries can contains predicates involving metadata as well as content. For example, a client may subscribe to events where an XML Schema file is submitted that uses a specified namespace. A client may be notified of an event by email as well as by invocation of a "handler" web service that can receive asynchronous event notifications. In summary, content-based event notification enable client applications to be aware of the latest information of interest to them within the ebXML Registry.
