Subject: Re: FW: [regrep] Minutes from our telecon September 4, 2003
Not sure how related this is to this issue (if at all), but UN/CEFACT‘s Business Collaboration Framework (BCF) makes reference to UDDI (not ebXML Registry) in Figure 6 ("Web Services Standards Overview") of the attached document (sorry for attaching, I could not find a URL for this document). An interesting aspect is that the document also refers (generically) to a "core component registry" (p.7), which cannot be accomplished with UDDI: <Quote> The selection of BIEs, or the creation of BIEs when they cannot be found in the core component registry, makes use of the core component context categories and rules. </Quote> Joe Duane Nickull wrote: > > Farrukh et al: > > After reading the slides, I must say that this is probably nothing more > than a typo. The UDDI reference is under a column heading of "ebXML > Goals" and since no one has ever purported to migrate ebXML to a UDDI > directory, it mustbe a typo. > > Klaus - can you confirm?
