I think it would be foolish indeed to think in terms of unseating
established products.

What makes sense is to show value + - a few things spring to
mind:

a) Registry is eBusiness focused - so feature set reflects that -
    existing CMS are document-facing.

b) Federated features hold out possiblity of federating a CMS
    as part of a collection of Registry.

c) Services such as CAM and eForms can strongly compliment
    what a CMS has.

d) Classification scheme support, and say OWL based searching,
     is another area where registry can collaborate with CMS.
