I do not think it is that big of a problem.  I am familiar with their 
requirements and UDDI will not meet UK requirements so they cannot use 
it.  This especially relates to lifecycle management of user submitted 
artifacts to the registry.  You cannot put a data dictionary in a UDDI 
registry.
