Subject: Action item - OASIS IPR Policy member review
Since we will not be having a telecon this week, please review this draft policy from the TC's perspective as well as your organization's perspective. We will need to vote on an IPR mode to operate under when we transition to the new policy, so please think about this. Please send all comments to the list so that we can discuss via e-mail. Thanks, Kathryn -----Original Message----- From: Breininger, Kathryn R Sent: Friday, July 30, 2004 11:59 AM To: ebXML Regrep (ebXML Regrep) Subject: [regrep] FW: [chairs] reminder to chairs: OASIS IPR Policy member review Reg/rep, Please take a look at the draft IPR Policy Karl has linked below. We need to think about the transition to the new IPR policy, and how that may affect our operations as a TC. I will add this to our agenda for our next meeting, but would appreciate it if folks would start reviewing now, and send comments to the list so we can have a fruitful discussion at the telecon next week. (See http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/members/200407/msg00002.html) One of the documents in this review is the proposed Transition Policy, which describes how TCs will transition to the new IPR Policy by selecting an IPR mode to operate under, after which the OASIS members (organizations and individuals) represented in the TC will vote to ratify that selection. In addition to the other issues in the IPR Policy that you individually and your companies may be interested in, I would also appreciate your TCs looking at, discussing, and commenting on the transition to the new IPR Policy, as well as any other parts of the Policy that will affect the day-to-day operations of the TC. -Karl ================================================================= Karl F.
