Hi David,

It is good to keep REST in our conciousness in all our features.

AFAIK, the Service Information Model and other parts of ebRIM should be
orthogonal to
REST considerations. Where ebRIM may be impacted by REST considerations
is likely
in the area of ObjectReference. We already have the means to have a
reference be local or remote.
However, a remote reference is not directly RESTFul as it does not
directly support HTTP GET URL.
Indirectly we support it because a reference could contain a registry's
home URL in addition to
id of object. The two together can be composed into an HTTP GET URL to
fetch the remote object.

Question is whether we need to consider allowing a reference to be a
direct HTTP GET URL and if so
define restrictions and semantics. For example, the restriction could be
that it MUST point to a RegistryObject
document.

Lets discuss that issue in a separate thread title "RESTful Object
Reference". Thanks.
