JIRA issues can now be assigned versions

Hi All -

I set up the following versions in our JIRA project so we can categorize our issues.  The different versions are:

 4.0-cd1     (Committee draft 1)
 4.0-cd2     (Committee draft 2)
 4.0-os      (Open Standard)

 4.1-cd1     (for issues we want to push to a next minor release - limited to backwards compatible changes)

 5.0-cd1     (for issues we want to push to a next major release)

I put a date of 2011 for version 5.0-cd1 - probably too soon to think about such things!


A couple of notes:

I (well, our in-house JIRA guru actually) figured out how to assign all current issues to version '4.0-cd1' in a batch edit. That is our starting point.

I added a shared filter that returns only those issues in version 4.0-cd1. To use the filter, click on the Filter->Manage Filters menu item, then click on the star in the left table column to add the REGREP-TC-4.0-cd1 filter as a favorite. From then on, it will show up in the Filter drop-down menu.

Over time we should shift the various issues to the proper version where we expect they will be addressed (edit the 'Fix version' field of the issue)

Farrukh provided a walkthrough of latest V4.0 specification changes and
enhancements to the format and content.

Various fixes and performance upgrades to allow faster and easier
navigation and control were noted.
Issue item 58: review possible use of new CIQ v3 person, address,

Issue item 59: base classes for role.
Services section items were noted.
Query mechanisms were stepped thru.
Change to extend how subscriptions managed. 
Add connection type prefix to DeliveryType URL e.g. SOAP: - REST: etc.
Issue item 60: reliable delivery for replication.
Meeting closed at 12:45 EST

Next meeting is scheduled for November 13th.
