Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Created: (REGREPTC-7) Access Control Policy Inheritance does not scale with deep folder hierarchies and impacts performance

Access Control Policy Inheritance does not scale with deep folder hierarchies and impacts performance
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: REGREPTC-7
                 URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/REGREPTC-7
             Project: OASIS ebXML Registry TC
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: regrep-core
            Reporter: Farrukh Najmi
            Assignee: Farrukh Najmi

Experience suggests that it is not easy for a scalable implementation of policy inheritance feature of ebRIM described here:

http://docs.oasis-open.org/regrep/regrep-core/v4.0/os/regrep-core-rim-v4.0-os.html#__RefHeading__39617_1821683062

Proposed solution:

Remove this feature since implementations can always have tools that can assign the same policy to a RegistryPackage hierarchy if desired.
