Subject: RE: [relax-ng-comment] Full to simple syntax converter?
If by simple syntax you mean the simple non-XML syntax, you will find resources here: http://www.thaiopensource.com/relaxng/nonxml/. If you mean simplification as part of the validation process, you will find that here: http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/relax-ng/spec-20011203.html#simplificat ion. I'm working on a RELAX NG validator for Python. Writing the validation engine took only an afternoon, thanks to the excellent description of Jing's algorithm; writing a parser for the simple syntax also only took a few hours. Implementing the full syntax... er, it's been a couple of weeks now and still counting... Is there any software that converts a schema in the full syntax to the simple syntax? That would let me test and fix my validation engine without getting snarled in the complexity of the full parser. Also, I can't find the specification of the informal syntax anywhere. Can someone please point me toward it? --amk (www.amk.ca) "When one tries to rise above Nature one is liable to fall below it." -- Sherlock Holmes, in "The Adventure of the Creeping Man" ---------------------------------------------------------------- To subscribe or unsubscribe from this elist use the subscription manager: <http://lists.oasis-open.org/ob/adm.pl>
