a non-XML syntax schema /identically/ to the marked up RELAX NG version
which is not illogical.

I'd rather map the # comments into <!-- ... --> comments, with coalescing,
instead of discarding them as currently happens.  I carefully comment
my rngnx files and then have to copy the comments, fragilely, into the
rng file.
