From the IBM perspective, layouts 2 & 1 are preferred (in order). The reason is that the team feels as though the other designs (3 & 4) introduce some unusable space. Also, the team feels as though none of these designs are better than the design from last year.

Hi Folks,
Thanks to those who've opened up a wider discussion about the booth layout. In an effort to address a range of the concerns put forward thus far, I've come up with 4 alternate options incorporating some of the design features Jane has been working so hard on as well as catering better for the pod-to-pod flow of booth attendees.
Please do review the attached and respond to Jane ASAP (preferably by COB Friday 2nd). I'm happy to the layouts if you do have questions. I will also be happy to provide a collated set of feedback to OASIS if required.
