Subject: Re: [s-ramp] S-RAMP namespace(s)

Randall,

Thanks for tracking this down. I think the namespace you are proposing is correct based on the guidelines set forth by OASIS that you reference below.

I will make sure to get this Issue-002 added to JIRA once we have JIRA set up. Then we can start a discussion about the merits of one namespace versus several namespaces.

[s-ramp] S-RAMP namespace(s)

One of the fields on the template request form asks for a list of namespaces that will be defined/used in the work products. These namespaces are to follow the posted guidelines [1], and ours will generally follow this format:

http://docs.oasis-open.org/ns/s-ramp/xxxx

where "xxxx" is a short string (see [1] for exact requirements). Considering this format, the "
http://s-ramp.org/xmlns/2010/s-ramp" namespace used by the submitted documents, and Issue-002 (which states the decision was made to use a single namespace rather than several), I propose requesting the following namespace:

http://docs.oasis-open.org/ns/s-ramp/2011

This would also allow us to tack on additional segments after "2011" if additional namespaces are needed. Thoughts?
