Sure - if CASCON was the target at the time you followed the rules at the time so you're fine. But going forward if this is a stock presentation that you will want to use again it makes sense to get the ball rolling sooner rather than later so you don't get caught the next time! I expect to be making judgement calls for the next month or so while we clear up all of the work products in transition. Just remember that if you want to give this presentation again 2 months from now I'm going to give you a hard time :)
I wish I could stop thinking about OASIS issues.

Yes." Of course you could decide that your presentation should be covered under the patent provisions of the IPR Policy and approve it under the Standards Track as well. Why do we need a Committee Note and not just a Committee Draft in order to present?? All TC material are public anyway, so a simple CD would be enough I would have thought. In any case, this is now impossible since the CASCON workshop is in less than 2 weeks time! The previous OASIS process only had a Committee Draft and did not distinguish between Notes and Specifications, thus not really enabling us to approve any slidedecks as Committee Specification –this would just be absurd! So now with the new process, Committee Notes were introduced, which are suitable for this purpose, but now there is no time to implement this process.
