Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Created: (SAF-4) Syndrome keywords forsemantic matching against Symptom
Syndrome keywords for semantic matching against Symptom ------------------------------------------------------- Key: SAF-4 URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/SAF-4 Project: OASIS Symptoms Automation Framework (SAF) TC Issue Type: Task Reporter: Jeffrey Vaught Formerly known as: Publish the metric or condition that caused a symptom to appear. Marcelo's recall was to add an attribute to Syndrome that contains keywords such as ones from the signature attribute (or a GUID pointing to a keyword list). The keywords can be used for a faster initial filtering of Syndromes that may be related to the symptom. This should reduce the number of subsequent signature look ups and improve the overall search performance - the gain is greater when the signature of the Syndromes are more complex. . From Nov 12: An example might be the inclusion of a Syndrome keyword for the target platform, such as a Syndrome only relevant to z/OS. Authoring tools could make use of this keyword to list only Syndromes relevant to z/OS. Question outstanding as to whether the current Syndrome "type" field could contain this information, ie: type=Security.access-violation.zOS -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
