The Assertion Query/Request Profile (section 6) does not depend on a
browser.  It profiles a back-channel attribute exchange between two
SAML entities.

This profile might be composed with a browser profile to yield
something new but that is not required.  For instance, it is possible
to conduct an attribute query as a "standalone query", that is,
totally separate from any browser profile.
