Anish, One thing you may want to check is associating an XML MIME media type with the composite file. My development tool (IDEA IntelliJ) can be configured to recognize composite files as XML documents allowing me to use its built-in XML refactoring capabilities such as syncing referenced Java class names with source code. I'm not sure about other tools, but I believe Eclipse should be able to do this too.
