Subject: [sca-assembly-editors] [NEW ISSUE] SCA Specification is missing
XSD for <definitions/> and Conformance statements relating to
<definitions/> and <contribution/>
Target:
sca-assembly-1.1-spec-cd02.pdf
Raiser:
Mike Edwards
Description:
1) The SCA
Assembly specification has a section describing Definitions declarations and
the <defnitions/> element,
but there is no
section containing the formal XSD,, even though the sca.xsd in A1 contains an
import for it:
<include schemaLocation="sca-definitions-1.1-schema-200803.xsd"/>
2) The SCA
Assembly specification contains no conformance point requiring an SCA runtime
to accept <definitions/>
documents - and
to reject documents that do not conform to the sca-definotions.xsd schema.
3) he SCA
Assembly specification contains no conformance point requiring an SCA runtime
to accept <contribution/>
documents - and
to reject documents that do not conform to the sca-contribution.xsd schema.
Proposal:
1) Add a new
section, A.13 with the title sca-definitions.xsd containing the formal XSD for
<definitions/>
2) Add a
conformance requirement into section 10, requiring SCA runtimes to accept
<definitions/> documents but
reject
documents that do not conform to the schema.
3) Add a
conformance requirement into section 12, requiring SCA runtimes to accept
<contribution/> documents but
reject
documents that do not conform to the schema.
Here is a
marked up revision of the CD02 spec containing detail of the proposed changes:
