Subject: NEW ISSUE: Extension Model should have a normative statement on thenamespace for new interface, implementation and binding types
TARGET: sca-assembly-1.1-spec-cd02-Rev4.doc DESCRIPTION: Section 10 on Extension Model has the following statement on the namespace for new interface types, implementation types and binding types. Lines 2961-2963: ... New interface types, implementation types and binding types that are defined using this extensibility model, which are not part of these SCA specifications are defined in namespaces other than the SCA namespace. From the above description, it is not clear what happens if these new types are defined in SCA namespace and the spec need to clarify it. PROPOSAL: Create a normative statement for the namespace of these new interface types, implementation types and binding types. Replace "are defined in" at line 2962 with "MUST be defined in" so that the sentence reads: ... New interface types, implementation types and binding types that are defined using this extensibility model, which are not part of these SCA specifications MUST be defined in namespaces other than the SCA namespace. ++Vamsi Apache Tuscany Committer http://tuscany.apache.org Apache Geronimo Committer and Member of PMC http://geronimo.apache.org
