Subject:
| [sca-assembly] [NEW ISSUE] Artfacts
for Testcases that have statically checkable errors must be placed into
separate Contributions |
Raiser: Mike Edwards
Target: sca-assembly-1.1-testcases-cd01.zip
Description:
There is a set of testcases in the Assembly test suite which have SCA artifacts
that have errors which are statically checkable,
where the errors are caused by incompatibilities between one artifact and
other artifacts that it uses (ie neither artifact on its
own exhibits an error, but an error exists when they are brought together).
The artifacts for some of these testcases are in the General contribution,
which also contains artifacts for testcases that have
artifacts containing no errors.
This causes a problem since an SCA runtime is entitled to validate the
artifacts contained within any Contribution that is deployed
to the Domain. The artifacts in error may be validated even when
running a testcase that does not use them, since the testcase
uses the General contribution.
The following set of testcases contain artifacts that are have errors,
where those artifacts today live in the General contribution:
4008
5008
5010
5014
5028
5029
5036
5037
6016
6020
6023
6024
6030
7002
7003
8007
8008
8009
8018
Proposal:
For all the above testcases, create separate contributions to hold the
artifacts unique to that testcase.
This means creating the following set of contributions:
ASM_4008
ASM_5008
ASM_5010
ASM_5014
ASM_5028
ASM_5029
ASM_5036
ASM_5037
ASM_6016
ASM_6020
ASM_6023
ASM_6024
ASM_6030
ASM_7002
ASM_7003
ASM_8007
ASM_8008
ASM_8009
ASM_8018
Yours, Mike.
