I have no great attachment to the particular
name "constraint", but it is shorter and snappier than
"constrainingType", which
I think is pretty big for a file extension.

Any particular reason why it is xxx.constraint rather
than 
xxx.constrainingType? Too long? Just 3 chars longer than componentType.
In any case, I would prefer the attribute name in the composite file, 
name of the concept and the file extension to be the same. Either we 
should use xxx.constrainingType or change the attribute name/concept 
name to match the extension.
