Administrivia

CD05 Publication
Edwards:
Various editorial tweaks needed to get rev numbers, refs to other specs, etc correct
Karmarkar:
Have assumed for RDDL other TC's CD's will be after CD05
(Comments from reps from other TC's indicating most are pretty much finished)
Karmarkar:
Any changes that happen later would need changes to the RDDL for refs.
Martin C:
Formal procedure for "Designated Cross References"

...OASIS allows refs to be updated - we just need to follow correct procedure

New Issues

None for either Spec or Test

Test Suite Open Issues

ASSEMBLY 193: Testcase ASM_12011 is missing a Contribution
http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/ASSEMBLY-193

Edwards:
Some E-mail posted today - need time to review before further discussion
ASSEMBLY-213: vendor-specific build tools (plugins) required to run conformance test build
http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/ASSEMBLY-213
Edwards:
Reviews issue

...Build materials are non-normative and only provided as a convienience

...doesn't imply that specific build tools must be used

...but if you don't like this then will have to provide alternative build
Aupperle:
Should be explicitly noted that the build materials are not part of suite and non-normative.
Booz:
Extraneous files should not be part of the finished ZIP file
Edwards:
In summary don't think this is an issue as these are non-normative "examples"
proposal: Resolve ASSEMBLY-213 by marking all build artifacts as non-normative samples and replacable m=MikeE s= DannyV
No futher comments - no objections
Resolution: Resolve ASSEMBLY-213 by marking all build artifacts as non-normative samples and replacable w/o
ASSEMBLY-212: Conformance tests contain vendor-specific runtime artifacts
http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/ASSEMBLY-212
Edwards:
Reviews issue
Edwards:
Would be good if other SCA vendors contributed their test runners to OASIS to help users/client testing

...NOT required though - just helps with testing
DaveB:
Just to clarify...

...this requires modification to test suite/tree as downloaaded from OASIS and "plugging in" their own runners, etc.
Edwards:
Tuscany Test Runner Artifacts are provided for OASIS Test Suite but can (should) be replaced
<Mike Edwards>
Edwards moves to resolve Issue 212 by moving the relevant artifacts mentioned in the Issue JIRA to a location that is clearly specific to the Tuscany Test Client Runner code and to mark those artifacts as "non normative samples" and "replaceable"
seconded by Bryan A
No further discussion - no objections
Resolution: Resolve ASSEMBLY-212 by moving the relevant artifacts mentioned in the Issue JIRA to a location that is clearly specific to the Tuscany Test Client Runner code and to mark those artifacts as "non-normative samples" and "replaceable" w/o
ASSEMBLY-211: OASIS conformance tests depend on vendor-specific runtime jars by default
http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/ASSEMBLY-211
Edwards:
Reviews issue
Edwards:
Nota actually vendor specific - code has been contributed to OASIS and if you don't want to use this build process use another
(ref ASSEMBLY-213, etc)
Edwards:
Runtime JAR's only part of the Maven build process

...suggest closing with no action
Johnson: Aggregate of these issues is the implication that only one build/runtime is supported
Edwards:
True - but the only way round that is for someone (else) to build a test suite for their own products
proposal: Close ASSEMBLY-211 with no action m=MikeE s=DaveB
Chapman:
Discussion/Resolution of previous issues makes situation clear
No further discussion, no objection
Resolution: ASSEMBLY-211 closed with no action.
ASSEMBLY-210: Conformance tests rely on vendor-specific version of the OASIS Java APIs
http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/ASSEMBLY-210
Edwards:
Can members please review for next meeting - quite a tricky issue
