Folks,
Here is a proposal to resolve Issue
225.
Add a new section to Appendix B (SCA
Concepts), as follows:
B.12 SCA Runtime
An SCA Runtime is a software program
which can accept and run SCA artifacts as defined in the SCA specifications.
An SCA runtime provides an implementation
of the SCA Domain and an implementation of capabilities for populating
the domain with artifacts and with capabilities
for running specific artifacts.
An SCA runtime supports at least one
SCA implementation type and also supports at least one binding type.
SCA Runtimes include:
o development runtimes, which are tools
provided to assist developers in the creation, test and debugging of SCA
applications
o production runtimes, which are used
to host and run SCA applications for the provision of business capabilities
An SCA runtime can be implemented using
any technology (ie it is not restricted to be implemented using any particular
technologies)
and it can be hosted on any operating
system platform.
Yours, Mike.
