Administrivia

JIRA System
Server hosing JIRA will be withdrawn at end of month
Maybe can transfer to OASIS system
Links within messages (e.g. minutes) will break
Not much that can be done - will have to manually track down refs
Do not know if 2 JIRA systems are compatible - port issues directly into OASIS JIRA ?
Problem is with issue numbers - if these get changed there would be no easy way to track down relatedentries/messages
Probably better to archive then manually import open issues into OASIS
<anish>
<Ashok Malhotra (Oracle)>
Who will create the archive?
Doesn't seem to be any interest in paying to maintain existing system
Chairs need to ask OASIS Admin to set up new JIRA system

Specification Open Issues (1.2)

ASSEMBLY-239 Business data filter element needs better name, definition
http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/ASSEMBLY-239

PeterN:
Summarizes issue and reviews his proposal
Two examples in E-mail to illustrate how alternative proposals work
AnishK:
Good write-up but not quite what was originally intended

...not introducing an "any" - was trying to clarify where new filters would be introduced
PeterN:
Write-up was based on latest discussions
EricJ:
Doesn't like idea that there's no way to enforce filters to bin in specific substitution groups (depending on type)
PeterN:
We should encourage people to document the type of new filters (body, meta-data, etc)
MikeE:
Can't acually control naming within substitution groups (i.e. anything outside the SCA namespace)
<Ashok Malhotra (Oracle)>
And it is unwise to read meaning into names
MikeE:
Way forward? Doesn't seem to be any particular preference
AnishK:
Take straw poll in chat?
<Peter Niblett>
Three options:
<Peter Niblett>
1. "Current Proposal" as in my email (3 substitution groups)
<Peter Niblett>
2. Alternative in the email (0 sub groups)
<Peter Niblett>
3. Alternative 2 - 2 sub groups (body and "metadata" - i.e. anything else)
Voting doesn't really work for this (yes/no vs. preference)
EricW:
We should pass a resolution to make Doug Daivs a memnber of the TC
<Mike Edwards>
hahaha
<MartinC>
1 had 4 preferences, 2 had 2, 3 had 3, and 4 had 2
FIVE MINUTES
MikeE:
Slight overall preference for existing #1 proposal

...will vote on next week

ASSEMBLY-233: Define how Policy works for SCA Eventing
http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/ASSEMBLY-233

<Ashok Malhotra (Oracle)>
I sent mail about issue 233 - Comment on IBM proposal for eventing policy
AshokM:
Has sent e-mail on this

...Can we use filters to accomplish this function?

AOB

Straggler roll - PeterN
EricW:
Will remove UNUSED chat room vote from minutes - E-mail if there are any objections

...will keep straw poll & results
Ajourned 9:01AM PDT
<MartinC>
<MartinC>
thanks Eric
