Simon Nash: can we merge 2.8 and 2.5?

anish: MikeE: you can replace everything in 2.5 with 2.8 except for the
last sentence in 2.5

Simon Nash: i think Dave's suggestion is good

anish: Dave: move the 2nd sentence in 2.8 and move it before the example
in 2.5

Mike Edwards: I didn't quite say that Anish!

anish sorry i know. i think dave captured what you said. no?

Eric Johnson: To summarize the update, change section 2.5 to read:
SCA runtime implementations can provide additional metadata that is
associated with a web service binding. [BWS20031]
This is done by providing extension points in the schema; refer to
Appendix A, Web Services XML Binding Schema for the locations of these
extension points.

This can be used for example to enable JAX-WS [JAX-WS] handlers to be
executed as part of the target component dispatch.
The specification of such metadata is SCA runtime-specific and is
outside of the scope of this document.

Simon Holdsworth: Need to remove [BWS20031] from that...

Simon Holdsworth: assuming it includes the recently resolved issue

Eric Johnson: Drat.

anish: simonN: the wireformat and operationSelector substitution points
are described in two places. Section 2.0 and section 2.11

anish: simonN: remove section 2.11 it is already covered by the 2
bullets in section 2

Eric Johnson: Summarizing changes:

Amend Dave's proposal with the following:

Change section 2.5 to read:

SCA runtime implementations can provide additional metadata that is
associated with a web service binding.
This is done by providing extension points in the schema; refer to
