Subject: Re: [sca-bindings] JMS binding spec uploaded

For what it is worth, the latest version of OpenOffice seems to do an OK job of comparing.  Accept the changes in the latest cd03-rev5.doc file, then compare with the original cd03 file, and it will show you all the changes.

Folks,

I've uploaded an updated JMS binding specification and corresponding TA document.

The main updates in this revision are to fix the application of issue BINDINGS-108, and update the assembly reference to cd05.

These changes cover all resolved issues.  I would request that this revision is reviewed by the TC members as the candidate for cd04, and the second public review draft.

Here are the JMS binding spec documents:

http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/36927/sca-jmsbinding-1.1-spec-cd03-rev5.doc
http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/36928/sca-jmsbinding-1.1-spec-cd03-rev5.pdf

And the TA documents.

http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/36930/sca-jmsbinding-1.1-test-assertions-wd06.pdf

The full list of applied issues, as stated in the history of the document, and in JIRA is:

BINDINGS-48
BINDINGS-83
BINDINGS-85
BINDINGS-90
BINDINGS-93
BINDINGS-94
BINDINGS-95
BINDINGS-96
BINDINGS-97
BINDINGS-98
BINDINGS-103
BINDINGS-104
BINDINGS-105
BINDINGS-106
BINDINGS-108
BINDINGS-109
BINDINGS-110

I have prepared JCA binding spec and TA documents for all resolved issues, but am waiting for BINDINGS-125 to be opened and hopefully resolved and will then post the CD candidate documents.

I looked at the Word compare/merge function, but could not find any way to generate a document that effectively consisted of cd03 with all changes applied and marked.  The C&M function results in a document that has all the text from both documents, with indication of deletions where the text differs.  So where an issue resulted in text being deleted, the C&M document has the text present and identified as having been added in the original version, which I don't think assists reviewers at all.

Regards, Simon
