[12:07] Bryan Aupperle: Meeting is quorate (54%)
[12:08] Bryan Aupperle: Schedule note: Next two calls (5 Aug. and 12 Aug.) will be canceled (eliminating need for the LOA requests for that time period)
[12:09] Bryan Aupperle: Topic: Approval of Minutes
[12:09] Bryan Aupperle: No comments
[12:09] Bryan Aupperle: Resolution: Minutes are approved
[12:09] Bryan Aupperle: Topic: Actions Items
[12:09] Bryan Aupperle: No recent items
[12:10] Bryan Aupperle: HTTP binding is potential discussion for Upcoming TC work
[12:10] Bryan Aupperle: Topic: JMS Binding Test cases
[12:11] Bryan Aupperle: Ant Elder has joined the TC and will be working on these.
[12:11] Bryan Aupperle: Topic: TC work remaining
[12:12] Bryan Aupperle: Spec PRs are complete
[12:12] Bryan Aupperle: WS Test suite PR has been requested
[12:13] Bryan Aupperle: Mike: Namespace issue has been dealt with
[12:13] Bryan Aupperle: Mike: Remaining document issues have been addresses so we seem to be waiting on TC Admin.
[12:15] Bryan Aupperle: AI: Simon - Query TC Admin on status of Test Suite PR request.
[12:18] Bryan Aupperle: Mike: Assembly is basically ready to be voted as a Committee Draft and Potentially a Committee Spec. (there have only been minor tweaks)
[12:18] Dave Booz: fwiw, Policy is approx. at the same point
[12:21] Bryan Aupperle: Mike: Suggests we need Assembly , Policy, WS Binding and one C&I spec to go to CS at same time.
[12:21] Bryan Aupperle: Brief discussion on this.
[12:22] Bryan Aupperle: Simon: No progress at all on JCA test cases (there is a draft of the Test Assertions)
[12:23] Bryan Aupperle: Simon: We need to find an SCA implementation with a JCA binding implementation
[12:24] Bryan Aupperle: Simon: So there will be only a limited amount of work to do until the WS Test suite PR completes.
[12:25] Bryan Aupperle: Simon: We can look at HTTP binding and/or 1.2 work in Assembly.
[12:29] anish be careful about calling it REST, unless it is really REST -- else you are going to incur the wrath of the RESTafarians
[12:29] Bryan Aupperle: agreed
[12:31] Bryan Aupperle: General discussion about HTTP/REST and related data formats etc.
[12:31] anish: atom feed might fit in better with pub-sub than services (but haven't thought it through)
[12:32] anish: +1 to Eric on usecases
[12:33] anish: we have to keep in mind that we do have interfaces on services/references. Lot of times the REST, use raw data/non-XML data over HTTP usecases do not like to use interfaces
[12:34] Mike Edwards: you might like to check out Tuscany to see some examples of both REST, ATOM, JSON, etc
[12:34] Bryan Aupperle: AI: Eric - Develop use cases for HTTP binding
[12:34] Mike Edwards: Tuscany has ways of handling those cases too
[12:35] Bryan Aupperle: Topic: AOB
[12:35] Bryan Aupperle: Straggler Role
[12:35] anish: BTW, for an example see Roy Fielding's comment to REST binding for CMIS
[12:35] anish: http://roy.gbiv.com/untangled/2008/no-rest-in-cmis
[12:36] Bryan Aupperle: Meeting Adjourned
