Subject: OASIS SCA JIRA: Handling of Resolved Issues


This is to notify folks of the process in JIRA for the handling of Issues when they get Resolved.

OPEN issues may get Resolved by vote of the relevant TC.
- when this happens the issue is processed in JIRA using the "Resolve" action
- the Issue then enters the "RESOLVED" state

RESOLVED issues are taken by the TC Editors and are then applied into some version of the relevant spec
- the Editors mark that this work is complete by processing the issue in JIRA using the "Apply Issue Resolution" action
- the Issue then enters the "APPLIED" state

APPLIED issues are then handled by the TC reviewing the updated spec document and deciding:
- EITHER that the edits are correct and the issue is now put in the CLOSED state
> this is done using the "Close" action in JIRA, selecting the "Fixed" reason code
- OR that the edits have not been correctly applied, in which case, the issue is returned to the RESOLVED state
> this is done using the "Edits Rejected" action in JIRA
