Subject: Schema file naming and URI for Latest/This Version

Title: Schema file naming and URI for Latest/This Version

On Nov 8, 2007 conf-call [1], the SCA BPEL TC adopted the OpenCSA Steering Committee's recommendation for Filename and URL Consistency [2], based (somewhat loosely) on which:

- The schema file for definitions contributed by the SCA BPEL specifications to the common SCA namespace could be named as: sca-bpel-1.1-schema-200712.xsd

  Latest Version URI : http://docs.oasis-open.org/opencsa/sca-bpel/sca-bpel-1.1-schema-200712.xsd
  This Version URI: http://docs.oasis-open.org/opencsa/sca-bpel/sca-bpel-1.1-schema-200712-[docLevel-seqNum].xsd

- The schema file for definitions of SCA BPEL specific extensions to the WS-BPEL specifications could be named as: sca-bpel-extensions-1.1-schema-200801.xsd

  Latest Version URI: http://docs.oasis-open.org/opencsa/sca-bpel/sca-bpel-extensions-1.1-schema-200801.xsd
  This Version URI: http://docs.oasis-open.org/opencsa/sca-bpel/sca-bpel-extensions-1.1-schema-200801-[docLevel-seqNum].xsd

Since we need to distinguish between the two types of definitions, I am suggesting to add the word 'extensions' to the second file name above.

The year-and-month in the filenames reflects the same in the corresponding namespace URI.

I have taken the liberty to also suggest values for the 'Latest Version URI' and 'This Version URI' for the two schema files. The '[docLevel-seqNum]' part of the 'This Version URI' would be the document level and sequence number of the accompanying specification document e.g. cd-02, cs-01, etc.

Any comments/questions?
