AOB Minutes: DRAFT 0. Role Bryan Aupperle Andrew Borley David Haney Pete Robbins 1. Agenda bashing 2. Accept minutes from SCA-C-C++ TC meeting of 5 June Minutes Approved 3. Action Items a. AI-2 (Pete): C++ header files No new status 4. New Issues 5. Issue Discussion a. http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/CCPP-41 C++ Packaging - Paths: http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/sca-c-cpp/200806/msg00004.html Approach is reasonable. Use of a bin directory can limit knowledge of the exporting contribution's directory structure in an importing contribution. - Header files: http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/sca-c-cpp/200806/msg00003.html When are header files used? Build-time for both services and references Assembly-time (within contributions and between contributions) for interface compatibility checking Not at runtime Do we need implementation header at runtime? No. Can this be removed from implementation.cpp? Need to review this. Is it OK to duplicate header files used in multiple contributions? Export/Import may eliminate some duplication, but references and services may not always use the same header files. Export/Import of header files may offer some limited advantages but not necessary. What is the use of header files and metadata at the various steps in the SCA artifact lifecycle? This needs to be summarized and agreed. 6. AOB This event is one in a list of recurring events.
