Subject: NEW ISSUE: C Conformance text corrections
- From: Bryan Aupperle <aupperle@us.ibm.com>
- To: sca-c-cpp@lists.oasis-open.org
- Date: Tue, 21 Apr 2009 14:33:31 -0400
Target: C C&I Specification
CD03
Description:
1) OASIS guidelines require more specificity in our conformance clauses
about MUST conformance points having to be implemented.
2) The conformance points for major options sections are combined with
mandatory sections, This makes the conformance clauses confusing
and contradictory.
3) There are MAY statements in section
A.4 and D.7 that are not included in conformance points.
Proposal:
1) Add the phrase "notably all mandatory statements have to be implemented|supported"
to conformance clauses referring to conformance points.
2) Split the conformance points in appendix F for the appendices into subsections
for annotations and WSDL extension conformance points and make corresponding
changes in the conformance clauses discussing annotations and WSDL extensions,
3) Convert the statements in A.4 and
D.7 into conformance points.
