Subject:
| [sca-c-cpp] NEW ISSUE: Requirements
on c:parameter/@type too lax |
Target: C C&I Specification CD03
Description:
The requirements on the c:parameter/@type attribute (Section D.6) are too
lax, and allow specifying any valid C type. There isn’t enough information
to support conversion to/from any arbitrary type.
Proposal:
Restrict the allowed types to those explicitly identified in the spec:
·
type : string (0..1) – specifies the
type of the parameter or struct member or return type. The @type
attribute of a <c:parameter/> element MUST be a C type specified
in section 10.3.1
Type needs to be a string since name and NCName do not allow '*'.
