Is this a duplicate of issue 15: Java Implementations should
be able to be Fully Configured with SCA Metadata. If not, I’m
failing to see the distinction.

The
second of the issues discussed at the F2F:

SCA Java Annotations and APIs specification
DESCRIPTION:
It
is currently not possible to specify some SCA metadata which can apply to a
Java implementation within the Java implementation.
This
includes, for example, the ability of a Java implementation with a reference to
indicate a default value for the Binding of
the
reference and a default target service for the reference.
It
should be possible, but not mandatory, for a Java implementation to be able to
supply default values for all SCA metadata
relevant
to an implementation, so that the implementation can be deployed without
further configuration.
PROPOSAL:
The
attached document contains a proposal for extra annotations to deal with
references and bindings:
