Subject: Re: [sca-j] ISSUE 43: Take 3 proposal

Sorry, there's one more minor editorial
nit that I overlooked, needed to match the words in WD 03.
PROPOSAL: Change lines 1699 through
1702 in WD 03 to read the following:
The @Reference annotation is used to denote a Java class
protected or public field, a setter
method, or a constructor parameter
that is used to inject a proxy to the
service that resolves the reference.
The interface of the service injected
is defined by the type of the
Java class field or the type of the
input parameter of the setter method
or constructor.

I noticed that this paragraph has been
updated editorially in WD 03. Taking the updated version in conjunction
with the normative changes needed to resolve the proposal would produce
the following wording:

Here's a new proposal, as discussed
on last week's call.
PROPOSAL: Change lines 1404 through
1406 to read the following:

a setter method, or a constructor parameter that is used to inject a
proxy to the service that resolves the reference. The interface of the
service injected is defined by the type
of the Java class field or

Betreff: [sca-j] NEW ISSUE: @Reference annotation can also be used on a
constructor parameter.
DESCRIPTION:
Java Common Annotations and APIs v1.0 - Sec 1.8.14 - Lines 1404 to 1406
The @Reference annotation type is used to annotate a Java class field or
a
setter method that is used to
inject a service that resolves the reference. The interface of the service
injected is defined by the type of
the Java class field or the type of the setter method input argument.
PROPOSAL: Change lines 1404 through 1406 to read the following:
The @Reference annotation type is used to annotate a Java class field,
a setter method, or a constructor parameter that is used to inject a
service that resolves the reference. The interface of the service
injected is defined by the type of the Java class field or the type
of the input parameter of the setter method or constructor.
Thanks to Simon Nash for suggesting a better wording than I originally
proposed. See
