Mark,

The Liaison committee took a formal
decision at its last meeting to switch timeslots with the SCA-J TC - 
as recorded in the minutes:

"7.  
              Next Call
Schedule

     The SCA/J TC has requested that we swap meeting times to
 
Thursdays 10 AM Pacific starting the week of 04 Aug 2008. The  
discussion on the LSC list was positive, so we should formally decide  
to do this (or not).

APPROVE changing the LSC meeting time starting week of aug 4 so next  
LSC call will be thursday 7 aug 10:00 am PDT - Martin/Mike - UNAN"

What was not done was to give an action
item to anyone to communicate this to the SCA J TC.

Consider this communication action now
done....

Hi to the OASIS Liaison Committee,
 
So far, we have not heard anything
back from the Liaison Committee regarding swapping the SCA-J call with
the Liaison Committee call. This puts the SCA-J committee in an interesting
position regarding using the Liaison Committee’s timeslot for its next
planned call on Monday 4th August.

have any objections to the SCA-J Committee using their timeslot each week

Following the many positive responses to this suggestion from Liaison Subcommittee
members, the SCA-J TC has resolved to formally request the Liaison Subcommittee's
agreement to making this exchange of weekly call time slots, starting in
the week of 4th August., with an SCA-J call from 8 to 9 am PT on August
4 and at the same day/time every week thereafter.

I'm on vacation next week, so Mark will make the necessary arrangements
when he receives formal confirmation that the Liaison Subcommittee has
agreed to this change.

I have received a request from some sca-j TC members in Eastern Europe to try to find a different time for the sca-j TC calls, because of the lateness of the current call time in their time zone.

It seems that almost every slot in the week is occupied by some other OASIS call.  Given this, it seems that a possible solution could be to swap the sca-j calls with some other OASIS call that does not involve Eastern European attendees.

Would members of the Liaison Committee be willing to move the LSC calls from Monday at 8am PT to Thursday at 10am PT?  This would allow the sca-j calls to move to Monday at 8am PT, which is a convenient time in Eastern Europe.
