- Approval of minutes from previous meeting(s)

http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/sca-j/download.php/29201/SCA%20Java%20Minutes%202008-08-18.doc

1. Election of co-chair

After Simon's notice of resignation, we agreed in the last meeting to elect a replacement co-chair

http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/sca-j/200808/msg00105.html

2. Dial in access numbers for the Conference Calls

Since Simon is leaving IBM, his access numbers that are used for the SCA-J

will no longer be available. We need to organise an alternative.

3. Leaves of Absence:

Mark Combellack will be on LOA from September 22 to October 6 inclusive.

4. Review action items:

2008-07-15-2: Vladimir to produce a proposal for JAVA-2

2008-07-15-4: Chairs to produce schedule for spec completion with help from Anish

2008-07-15-9: MikeE to produce worked example of his proposal for JAVA-1, and to show the invocation model

2008-07-24-2: Simon to revise proposal for issue 49 based on today's discussion

2008-08-11-1: Mark to send email requesting nominations for co-chair

2008-08-11-2: Editors to check with other specifications how the use of 'a' and 'an' when referring to annotations.

5. Update from JEE Sub Committee Chair (Time boxed to maximum of 10 minutes)

Consider subcommittee recommendation to set the date on which a higher bar applies to opening new issues on the Java EE spec to October 15, 2008.

6. Date of the next SCA-J Face to Face (F2F) meeting

Previously, the TC agreed to have the next F2F in Cardiff, UK the week of

November 10th to 14th and co-locate with the SCA-Bindings TC.

Unfortunately, the SCA-Bindings TC cannot do that week and want to know if we

can move a week earlier (Nov 3rd to 7th) or a week later (Nov 17th to 21st)

http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/sca-j/200809/msg00009.html

7. Web ballot for sca-javacaa-1.1-spec-WD04

During the last meeting of the sca-j TC on August 18, a motion was

passed to hold a Web Ballot for CD review and comment beginning Aug 25th

ending Sept 1st. It seems there was a misunderstanding about who would

initiate this Web ballot, and it did not take place.
